Last Saturday I was at English speaking club *_* that was very interesting, exciting and, to be honest, hard. Mostly, because it was difficult to speak quickly and correctly. Also I was thinking about my accent.
By the way, how do you think - is it important to speak without accent? Or it is only enough to express yourself, nomatter have you accent or not?

the main question is - how bad is it?) 'cause for the most native speakers it's not that important if it's not heavy. I was once young and curious about that and were harping those poor guys around me: "does Russian accent sounds nice or not?" I couldn't get any positive/negative answer till one day one guy looked at me blandly and said: "we can understand you". it wasn't really an answer I was looking for but... I came to terms with it and never thought of it anymore.

although of course they prefer someone without any accent to talk to. it's obvious. but the world is so small today and everyone goes everywhere.
so, people are getting more an more used to this phenomenon.

Well, I believe, that some people who struggle hard speak without accent, but that doesn't mean, that they turned into almost native speakers.
And as for me, I think that it is important to speak without accent, because it makes more simply to understand you) But that is not enough, ofcourse. You also must be brilliantat at all another aspects of language, not only correct pronunciation.
