Man balances 195 rolls of toilet paper on his head for 30 seconds

A serial Guinness World Record breaker from Idaho recaptured a neck-straining title by balancing 195 rolls of toilet paper on his forehead.

David Rush, who holds the most concurrent Guinness World Records titles, originally set the record for the most toilet paper rolls balanced on the head at 101 in 2021.

The record was later taken by someone who pushed the record to 152, leading Rush to attempt to take it back in May 2025.

"The first attempt was a humbling reminder of the biggest enemy in this sport: nerves. If I feel even a hint of hesitation, the stack wobbles. That wobble creates a wave through the compressed layers, and everything comes crashing down," Rush wrote online.

On his second try, Rush managed to balance all 195 rolls of toilet paper on his head for the required 30 seconds.

World's longest foosball table debuts in Brooklyn

A New York tequila company celebrated the FIFA World Cup by gathering dozens of people to play on the world's longest foosball table.

Teremana Tequila assembled a foosball table measuring 525 feet long, approximately the length of 112 standard-sized foosball tables.

The table was given a test run on a Brooklyn street on July 11. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on hand to confirm it took the title for the world's longest foosball table.

"The event went smoothly, despite the warm temperatures," said Guinness World Records Adjudicator Michael Empric. "The foosball table was very impressive in person, as it spanned more than a city block!"

The previous record of 497 feet and 8.4 inches was set in Turkey in 2023.

Teremana officials said the table will be split into standard-sized foosball tables and donated to recreation centers across the country.

Spain's Fabian Ruiz, Gavi awarded weight in tomatoes for World Cup win

Los Palacios y Villafranca honored hometown heroes Fabian Ruiz and Gavi with their weight in tomatoes for helping Spain win the 2026 World Cup.

The midfielders participated in a ceremony Tuesday at town hall in the Spanish province of Seville, which is known for tomato production. They stepped on scales and were presented with their weight — in kilograms — of the fruit.

Ruiz weighed in at about 187 pounds (85 kg.), while Gavi was about 151 pounds, or- 68.5 kg.

Ruiz, 30, played 366 minutes for the Spaniards at the World Cup. The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder scored the first goal in a 2-1 win over Belgium in the quarterfinals.

Gavi, 21, logged 85 minutes at the tournament. The Barcelona midfielder also teamed up with Ruiz and the Spaniards to win a 2023 UEFA Nations League title.

Officials also announced the municipal grass soccer fields in the area will be renamed "Fabian Ruiz Football Field" and "Pablo Pez Gabira 'Gavi' Football Field."

The city plans to construct a monument honoring Gavi, Ruiz and Jesus Navas, another local who won the 2010 World Cup with the Spaniards.

Gavi and Ruiz participated in a parade with their teammates Monday in Madrid. Spain also will receive $51 million and become the first World Cup team to receive championship rings for winning the title. Those rings will be customized and presented at a later date.

Stuffed donkey returned to 5-year-old after social media adventure

A pink stuffed donkey found on a British Columbia ferry is back with its 5-year-old owner after taking an adventure chronicled on social media.

BC Ferries posted photos of the toy to social media after it was found aboard the Salish Raven ferry following a trip between Victoria and Pender Island.

The donkey, dubbed Churro the Burro by followers, was taken on an adventure that BC Ferries shared on its social media channels.

Photos showed Churro exploring the Salish Raven's bridge, engine room and gift shop.

The posts made their way to the news media, and came to the attention of Abigail Broadribb, who hadn't realized her son, Alfie, had lost his donkey until seeing an article about Churro.

"We're just really grateful," Abigail Broadribb told CTV News. "This is a very special experience for them to have a peek behind the curtain."

Broadribb said the toy, formerly known simply as Donkey, will be keeping the new Churro the Burro moniker.

Woman earns Guinness World Record with 106 shark tattoos

A Maine woman's love for predatory fish led to her earning a Guinness World Record for her 106 tattoos of sharks.

Emily Morrison, a shark biologist and owner of a shark fossil diving tour company, was awarded the title for the most sharks tattooed on the body (female) when her pieces of ink were officially counted by the record-keeping organization in May.

Morrison, known as "Shark Lady Emily," said her fascination with sharks began as fear when she saw the movie Jaws at the age of 8, but she came to love the animals after her father encouraged her to do research on real-life sharks at the library.

"I have fed tiger sharks and great hammerheads in the Bahamas, cage dove with great whites in Australia, swam with whale sharks off the coast of Mexico, and so much more," Morrison said.

The shark expert is scheduled to appear on the upcoming special My Strange Shark Addiction, part of the Discovery Channel's annual Shark Week programming event, which starts Sunday.

Polish man spends over two hours buried in snow

A Polish endurance expert spent 2 hours, 12 minutes and 12 seconds completely buried in snow to break a Guinness World Record.

Damian Kasprzyk, 41, earned the title for the longest time spent in direct full body contact with snow (male) when he attempted the stunt in Szlachtowa, Poland, on Feb. 21.

Kasprzyk previously broke the record for the longest duration full body contact with ice (male), at 5 hours, 1 minute and 33 seconds.

Kasprzyk credited Valerjan Romanovski, whose Guinness World Records titles include longest duration submerged in ice water (male), with helping him prepare for his attempt.

"He has been instrumental in preparing me mentally and physically for what it takes to endure such extreme conditions," he told Guinness World Records.

'Human refrigerator' debuts in Japan amid rising temperatures

A Japanese company is responding to the country's increasingly hot summer temperatures by unveiling a new "human refrigerator."

The Do Hiemon Box, marketed as a "human refrigerator," is roughly the size of a standard Japanese vending machine and can fit one person inside at a time.

The temperature inside the box is kept at 59 degrees, and once a person is inside, cold air is blasted at their head, neck, shoulders and back.

The box, developed by refrigeration and vending machine manufacturer SDRS, is marketed by industrial equipment supplier Trusco Nakayama for use at business and other public spaces amid the summer heat.

The company said the boxes can help relieve symptoms of heat exhaustion by rapidly cooling bodies. It is being marketed for places where people work outside, such as construction sites.

Maebashi City Hall in Gunma Prefecture received one of the first boxes as a donation, and members of the public are being allowed to use it for free during opening hours.

Temperatures across Japan have been rising to nearly 100 degrees in recent weeks. A total 48 people were hospitalized with heatstroke in Tokyo on a single day, July 15.

The Do Hiemon Box currently retails for $9,326.25.

Idaho man juggles flaming torches on a unicycle, burns off eyebrows

An Idaho man sacrificed his eyebrows to break the Guinness World Record for the most consecutive flaming torch juggling catches on a unicycle.

David Rush, who already held several Guinness World Records titles for both unicycling and juggling, said he was "brimming with unearned confidence" when he decided to take on the previous record of 37 catches.

"Nobody puts the real hazard in the official rule books," Rush wrote online. "The moment you pedal a unicycle forward while juggling torches, the forward momentum creates a draft that blows the flames straight back into your face."

Rush said he quickly singed off his eyebrows and the hair on the backs of his hands during his first attempt to juggle flaming torches on his unicycle.

He decided to spent some time practicing with unlit torches and set his official attempt for Halloween 2025.

"I set up the cameras, dipped the wicks, lit them, mounted the unicycle, and immediately dropped every single torch on the concrete," Rush said. "I picked them up, dusted them off, hopped back in the saddle, and dropped them again. Failure in under three seconds. But I say all the time, failure does not define you, how you respond to it does."

He finally found his groove on his third attempt, managing 175 catches to more than quadruple the previous record.

Video from Rush's attempt was reviewed by Guinness World Records and he is now the official holder of the title.

British man eats 15 fish sticks in one minute to break world record

A British man used his kids' favorite food to break a Guinness World Record when he ate 15 fish sticks in one minute.

Nathan Davies, 32, recently won more than $130,000 on the TV game show The 1% Club, and he told host Lee Mack that the next goal on his agenda was to break a Guinness World Record.

"I decided fish fingers was achievable given that I've got a few less formal eating records so it's up my street," Davies told Guinness World Records.

He managed to scarf 15 fish sticks the allotted time, earning the title for the most fish fingers eaten in one minute.

"A bit strange, very proud to have a world record, but less proud when it's fish finger related," he said. "I think I could have done more if I had let them cool down longer, but just happy to have the record."

Yoga teacher breaks world record for underwater pushups

A yoga teacher living in Vietnam put his skills to the ultimate test by performing 86 pushups underwater with only a single breath.

Kamal Kaloi, 38, who is originally from India, said his training in calisthenics and breath holding prepared him for his October 2025 attempt at a pool in Ninh Binh.

Kaloi previously earned the Guinness World Record for the most consecutive yoga positions underwater, achieving 21 in 2020.

"I had a passion to do something different right from the beginning. Whenever I saw someone who had made a record or achieved anything like this, I was always inspired by them," he told Guinness World Records. "When I made my first world record about underwater yoga, I realized my strength and decided to challenge myself more."

The record-keeping organization reviewed evidence of his 86 pushups and has now confirmed he earned the record for the most underwater push ups with a single breath (male).

"Of course yoga helped me a lot in making this record," he said. "I had very good experience in holding my breath, which I used during my world record and I became an expert in holding my breath for six minutes. I am an expert in not only holding my breath in water for six minutes but also doing activities while holding my breath."
