This week is a demolisher. It's just started, yet it already feels like forever. I think, it's mostly the weather and the increasing responsibilities - the winter is coming. How's your week, Supreme?

My week… is productive, I would say. I worked on my thesis on Monday and Tuesday and have made significant progress. So I am partially satisfied – still there are a lot of things left that should be done. Also in the end of this week I am planning to go to the recruiting fair. Do you think it is wise to spend my time on such events, when I already have a decent offer from the company?

Congratulations on finishing a complicated task! Yeah, I think it's good to be open to various opportunities. Ok, your dream job is practically in your pocket - but it won't vanish if you give yourself time to look around. Such events always give me positive vibes, and I get to meet new people, make valuable contacts whether I find what I'm looking for or not. That's how it works for me - and I think that's how it works for everybody.

I am also considering moving to another city. Bigger city. This, however, will mean that I will lose all connections and friends that I acquired in the past few years. Do not want it happen, but I also desperately need a change in my life. And I do not have any particular reason to move.
Could you imaging moving to the other city now? Leaving all your friends, connections, acquaintance behind you? Stepping into a “new” life?

Supreme, well, you will never loose any of your connections with people if they are stable and real, based on the impressive amount of time, trust and friendship. Do not worry that much, changing life is ok in case you need to do so =)

Well, it was cool. I started to celebrate it with my girlfriend. We did a lot of cool stuff, then I met New Year with my family and I don't know why but I got drunk so much. After that celebration continued with my friends. How 'bout you?

So, you have managed to celebrate in three different places during one night? Cool. Why not to take your gf to your friends?
Me? Well, I do not drink for some time now, so it was not an option (to get drunk, I mean). I am also on a diet so no chocolate or ham for me eather. On the bright side, I did not have to cook anything and did not gain weight (that happens to me every NYD I spend at home). I actually lost some and it is nice.
Most important thing is that I spent the holidays with the people I live and even without the gamut it was wonderful.

So, what are your plans for the new year?

We can talk about birds but not everyone likes them, especially pigeons. Everyone likes cats though.

C'mon! What about parrots? Budgerigar, for instance? They are lovely and can talk. I had three when I was a kid :) Do you have a cat at home then, dovelet?

it was different in my family. My dad spent a lot of time talking to the parrot and saying the same words all the time. I have read that parrots learn faster when they hear man's voice. The pitch is not so high.

Speaking about cats and pets in general. I can't get any, since I live with my family and my mom can't stand animals. But recently she told me she might agree if I foster a pet... Do you know how it works?

Fostering a pet is when you keep a pet for a short period of time, typically before it finds a new home. For example, you can keep a cat for 6 months, before someone adopts it from a pet shelter. But instead of keeping a pet in a shelter, someone keeps it at home. It might be because the pet needs special care, or because the shelter doesn't have enough space.

It's similar to fostering a child, although you can't really compare the two. When you foster a child, you keep it until he or she turns 18, which is when they can go live on their own. When you foster a kid, the government pays you a certain amount of money every month, plus provides help and resources for both you and a child. It's different with pets, obviously - no one is going to pay me, I have to take care of the pet. =)

Guffy, nothing much. Went to the doctor on Saturday and had guests on Sunday.

I think she wants me to be happy. But this entire idea is pretty controversial, because I will get emotionally attached to the pet and I'd have to let it go eventually... That will make me feel quite depressed once the pup is taken away.
Also, my mom is kind of ready to struggle for a few weeks, so that I could have a pet. But she secretly hopes that I get tired of taking care of the foster dog and stop talking about getting a full-time pet. =)

It is, in a way... The dog gets used to you and then has to go elsewhere, which is a big shock for it.
It's also a shock for me. =)

dovelet, I try to have a healthy lifestyle, which includes consuming a lot of vitamins. I also try my best to exercise, and sometimes I succeed in it, but sometimes I fail. =)) I also care about my mental health: I meditate, I have stress-reduction techniques... I'm trying to put myself on a sleep schedule, which means I attempt not to oversleep, but I'd like to get at least 8-9 hours every day.

What about you?

Пэйджик, I'm not a great believer of vitamins. Have been taking them a lot this year though. I never smoked and my alcoholic adventures are pretty mild. :D I do sports (swimming) but that is pretty much it. Morning exercises is not my cup of tea. Or gyms, or diets. Sleeping is important, for many years I had a strict schedule (thanks to my parents) but an "adult life" changed that.
Do vitamins do any good? And does meditation help?

dovelet, I think swimming is better than going to the gym in some ways... Especially if you like it.

I feel like vitamins give me a little bit more energy, plus they make my hair and nails stronger... Which may or may not be the result of me eating cheese.

I asked you 'bout vitamins 'cause I had tried American once and didn't like the result at all.

I think I'm taking American ones, but they are... simple, if you can say that. I'm only taking Omega 3 and Beer yeast vitamins.

Oh yes, my friend. All the time.

I'm taking very "light" and simple Melatonine. You don't need a prescription for it, you just buy it and take it if you need. 2 small pills - and I'm asleep. No harm done. I also have Valerian Root pills - sometimes I take 1 or 2 and I'm falling asleep much faster. My doctor prescribed me some stronger pills before, buy they didn't stick.

I had a cold several years back and my family doctor gave me codeine amount other anti-cold medications, so I could sleep well. I did, but this is a very serious drug, it's actually a controlled substance... Not a good idea to take something like that.

Also, instead of taking sleeping pills sometimes, I:
1) meditate
2) watch relaxing videos, like puppy videos
3) listen to relaxing music
4) count till 100-200-or more
5) do the breathing exercises
6) do a full body muscle relaxation exercise
7) apply lavender essential oil behind my earlobes

Omg, you do take a lot of pills. Why can't you sleep, if you don't mind me asking? From what you said it looks like your insomnia (how to spell this?) is an ongoing thing, not a one-time occasion.

I can't use puppies and all that mentioned for sleeping. It makes it only worse, even music. Espesially music. I need a total silence and preferbly, darkness too, to fall asleep.
